Rob Albanese

In 2022, I published my first book with Little Bigfoot out of Seattle.  The picture book graphic novel details how Ollie McPhee and Mr. Flynn first become friends.  Since finishing that story, I've always wondered what came next for them.

When I moved to the Pacific Northwest, I was so excited to be able to see the life cycle of salmon taking place right in my "backyard".

When my children started attending elementary school, they both got to participate in raising the classroom salmon. I love the idea of connecting kids to their environment and the life cycles around them.​

 

For this story in particular, I wanted to see who my character, Ollie McPhee, would be as he continued to grow and change. You don't often see characters in books do a lot of growing up. However, as my kids age, the stories I want to tell grow with them. I hope you enjoy the story!
